Importing .eps graphics

I am trying to import an .eps graphic file into my scientific workplace document. When I use the File > Import Picture command, I get one of two errors. Let's call the .eps file "foo.eps".

1. An error message appears stating "Cannot import foo.eps". Once I click "OK", a blank white box appears where the figure would normally be.

2. Sometimes I don't get the initial error message, but a blank white box appears nonetheless. When I try to compile a pdf, I get the following error message: "Could not export file foo.pdf". After this, the pdf does not compile.

Is it possible to import .eps files into a scientific workplace document, and then compile a pdf?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like there is a

Sounds like there is a problem with the particular .eps graphics file that you are trying to work with. Some graphics files cause problems for the import filters. Especially for .eps graphics, see if the graphics can be generted using an older EPS version.
