I have observed crushes or lack of proper display of files containing some fonts like Calligraphic and Blackboard Bold. It started happening after last update of win10. It applies also to files that were created long time ago and issued already:-)
Any suggestions how to deal with it? Help pls

This implies that certain

This implies that certain fonts used to display those characters are not available for some reason.  This problem has been much less common than during the days of Windows 95.  The underlying cause is not known, and it could be specific to your system.

In any case, the easiest way to solve this is to reinstall SW and use the repair option when it is available.  See https://www.mackichan.com/techtalk/448.htm for more discussion and other more detailed steps.

The whole thing worked only

The whole thing worked only one day. That is I have repaired installation of 5.5, restarted system and saw that everything displayed ok.
Then a day passed. I have closed and opened system and the problem with proper display repeated. This must be connected with the recent major update of win10:-(
It seems that would have to install swp5.5 every morning.
Well I am not a computer specialist. Any suggestions or help?
Thanks in advance

There's not a known reason

There's not a known reason why the fonts would be removed.  The only suggestion is to use the manual install of the fonts discussed in the previously referenced article.  The fonts you want are part of the TrueTeX set of fonts.  The TrueTeX installer installs these fonts by reference.  That is, the .ttf files are kept in a directory outside of the Fonts directory.  Try copying the .ttf file to the Fonts directory.

Well this morning I checked

Well this morning I checked fonts folder of windows. There were no cms* fonts. So Have copied them from truetex font folder to windows fonts folder and then opened my swp file. It did not display well:-( So again I had to reinstall sep5.5. It worked as expected:-)
It happens under win10. I'm using swp5.5 for so many years, survived so many upgrades and now....
