Patch update 2960 for Version 5.5

We have released build 2960 of Version 5.5 of Scientific WorkPlace, Scientific Word, and Scientific Notebook. Changes include an updated version of pdfLaTeX, updates to address Vista issues, and many updates to shells, help files, and typesetting specifications. A full list of changes is available on our web site in the article Patch update 2960 for Version 5.5. The update applies only to the English language version of the products.

One level of change tracking available using text tags

Build 2960 includes the new document PackageSample-ulem.tex in the directory SWSamples. This document demonstrates using the ulem package, including a method to tag parts of the document to indicate deleted or added text. Only one level of change tracking is available, also called legislative format since it is often used by governmental bodies to show proposed changes to legislative documents.

New shells added with the 2960 update
Over 25 new shells were added with the update to build 2960. Also, several shells were renamed and a few that used obsolete or no longer supported typesetting specifications were deleted. See Patch update 2960 for Version 5.5 for the detailed list. Below is a partial list of new shells.
